Automotive Sound Insulation Manufacturer Adds More Jobs
Jackson, Mississippi — April 17, 2018 — Molded Acoustical Products of Easton, a sound insulation company, is increasing its production capabilities in Clarksdale, Mississippi. The addition of new production lines at the company’s manufacturing facility is a $480,000 corporate investment and will create at least 24 jobs.
MAP of Easton produces parts for thermal and acoustical applications in the automotive, architectural, appliance, marine and off-road industries. The company is adding production lines to accommodate new or larger contracts with its growing customer base.
“Since locating in Clarksdale in 2000, MAP of Easton has benefited logistically from the Delta’s prime location. Coahoma County offers the company efficient access to customers east and west of the Mississippi River, paving the way for sustainable growth and new jobs for the people Clarksdale,” Governor Phil Bryant said.
“We love being here in Clarksdale. Today, Clarksdale is growing, and we are looking to expand even more in the near future,” said John D’Amico, Jr., owner of MAP of Easton.
The Mississippi Development Authority is providing assistance for building improvements. The city of Clarksdale and Coahoma County are assisting with the project, as well.

Headquartered in Easton, Pa., MAP of Easton offers a wide variety of acoustical and thermal products to the automotive industry and delivers to major OEMs around the world. With four locations in the U.S., MAP of Easton supplies to Toyota, General Motors, Honda, Ford Motor Co., and more. The company currently employs 60 workers in Clarksdale.
