Mississippi exported more than $10.8 billion worth of products in 2016. Mississippi-made products range from manufactured goods, including machinery, to chemicals, food products, wood products, and electronics. Industrial, commercial, and consumer goods are all produced in Mississippi and are shipped through the state’s infrastructure of highways, railways, and ports.
While Mississippi traditionally trades with countries such as Panama, Canada, Mexico, China, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Belgium, there have been great strides made in opening trading relations with growing markets such as Brazil, Guatemala, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and others. Mississippi ships products to more than 100 countries around the world.
