Corporate Visitation Program
Started in 2004, MDA’s Corporate Visitation Program initiative incorporates one-on-one meetings with executives from corporate headquarters that have operations or facilities in Mississippi. MDA strives to provide a strong business environment for the state’s existing industries, and this program is a key component of the Existing Industry and Business Division’s outreach strategy.
Throughout the year, the MDA team travels around the country to meet with corporate executives of companies located in Mississippi. Building relationships with these key decision makers is part of the agency’s hands-on approach to retaining businesses and encouraging expansion and growth in the state.
The program provides an ideal atmosphere for company executives to share their concerns or needs with MDA. It also provides opportunities to share information about MDA’s programs and how the agency’s services can help a particular company grow. This initiative provides MDA a clearer assessment of a company’s overall business health and identifies ways the state can keep those companies profitable and viable in the state.
