Associate Director/Senior Adviser to Governor Tate Reeves

Laura Hipp serves as associate director and senior adviser to Gov. Tate Reeves for the Mississippi Development Authority. She assists in areas marketing and communications, tourism and economic development policy to help grow investment and jobs in Mississippi.
Hipp has extensive experience in shaping communications and public policy strategy. She was Director of Communications for Reeves when he served as lieutenant governor and worked with elected officials and the private sector. She previously served as Director of Communications for former Gov. Haley Barbour.
She worked for 10 years as an award-winning reporter in Mississippi and Texas, including publications such as The Clarion-Ledger and the Austin Business Journal. She has a master’s degree in public policy and administration from Mississippi State University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Texas Tech University.
