Stimulus Opportunities Workshops

With so much information being released about stimulus programs created through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), it is important that communities around Mississippi understand how to take advantage of the programs. In the past MDA has hosted Stimulus Opportunities Workshops in order to provide beneficial information regarding stimulus funding opportunities.

At the moment, there are no upcoming scheduled workshops. Please check back frequently for any new scheduled workshop opportunities.

Past Workshops

In March 2010, MDA hosted a Stimulus Opportunities for Minority Contractors Conference. Attendees heard presentations about MDA’s stimulus programs and minority outreach programs. The conference also included panel discussions on residential housing and energy contracting opportunities. A vendor fair gave attendees an opportunity to network with other contractors, vendors and MDA grantees. To download copies of the presentations or handout materials, select the links below.

Handout materials

In September of 2009, MDA sponsored workshops around the state designed to educate local leaders about new bond opportunities created by ARRA. To download the handout material from this workshop series, click here.

In October and November of 2009, MDA held a series of workshops around the state designed to educate city and county officials, local businesses, community leaders and the general public on the opportunities available and how to apply for Energy grants created by ARRA.
