With so much information being released about stimulus programs created through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), it is important that communities around Mississippi understand how to take advantage of the programs. MDA is hosting Stimulus Opportunities Workshops in order to provide beneficial information regarding stimulus funding opportunities.
The next series of workshops will focus on Energy programs and will include a detailed discussion of the funding opportunities available as well as how and when to apply for competitive grants. These workshops will cover programs included in the State Energy Program (SEP) as well as programs specifically for cities and counties through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program.
This course is open to city and county officials, local businesses, community leaders, and anyone interested in learning how to apply for Energy funds administered by MDA. We do ask that you pre-register by emailing stimulusworkshops@mississippi.org.
While registration is free, MDA asks that you register in advance by emailing stimulusworkshops@mississippi.org and entering the date and location of the workshop you plan to attend in the subject line.
In September, MDA sponsored workshops around the state designed to educate local leaders about new bond opportunities created by ARRA. To download the handout material from this workshop series, click here.
