MDA Pilot Entrepreneur Training Program

On Wednesday, August 3, MDA’s Entrepreneur Center hosted a graduation luncheon for members of the Entrepreneur Training Program. The event was well-attended by graduates and their guests, program faculty members and MDA partners who have been instrumental in supporting this innovative new program. The nine-month pilot Entrepreneur Training Program, a service of MDA’s Entrepreneur Center, provided entrepreneurs and small business owners with intensive training in all aspects relevant to building and sustaining a successful business, from business plan development, to accounting and available financing, to hiring, marketing and much more. The program, which received funding from the Economic Development Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce, was open to small businesses and entrepreneurs in 19 qualifying counties in the Mississippi Delta, northeast Mississippi and southwest Mississippi and was offered free of charge to participants.
