Strategic Initiatives

The Office of Strategic Initiatives was created in the Asset Development Group to be flexible and responsive to special development opportunities. The professional staff works with community leaders, developers, state and federal authorities, and others to bring such opportunities to fruition. Strategic initiatives range from military bases and defense industries, to transportation and logistics assets, to quality rural and downtown living, to music, history, art, and other cultural resources.

The Office of Strategic Initiatives coordinates its activities closely with the Existing Industry and Business Division and the Global Business Division at MDA.

The Office also coordinates State activities and grants with the Delta Regional Authority and coordinates the activities of the Mississippi Military Communities Council.
