HOME Investment Partnerships Grants Program

HOME is a grant program funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, designed to strengthen partnerships between public and private agencies to provide affordable housing within state and local communities.

Local communities can use HOME funds to improve their housing situation in many different ways, including: Homeowner Rehabilitation/Reconstruction, New Construction or Substantial Rehabilitation of multi-family rental units; and Assistance to Homebuyers. The State HOME Program makes funds available to county governments and certified Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs), incorporated municipalities, not designated by HUD as local participating jurisdictions or Consortium.

Since HOME funds are limited, projects must compete for available funds. Rating criteria, amount of funding available, and application due dates are published annually.
