Homebuyer Assistance

The State will accept applications for Homebuyer Assistance from local units of government and CHDOs using a competitive process to distribute HOME funds statewide. The State has designed specific selection criteria that will be used to objectively rate the applications. Applications will be accepted for downpayment assistance on the purchase of existing housing stock that meets local housing code and is complete and ready for occupancy..

CHDOs submitting an application for the Homebuyer Assistance in the CHDO set-aside will use the same criteria and will use the Homebuyer Assistance application.  The CHDO must have site control to be eligible for this activity.

Grant Size - The maximum and minimum grant sizes for Homebuyer Assistance are $500,000 and $2500,000, respectively.
