International Representatives
MDA maintains a network of regional international offices or representatives whose mission is to support the state's international marketing efforts and enhance the work of both the trade and investment development programs. Representatives are located in Santiago, Chile; London, England; Dortmund, Germany; Yokohama, Japan; and Shanghai, China. The offices also are available to private sector businesses for assistance and to support local economic developers. The primary objectives of the international offices include:
- Represent State of Mississippi reflecting long-term commitment to the foreign market development
- Promote Mississippi as an investment location
- Promote Mississippi products and services
- Provide assistance to local international companies
- Research and monitor commercial activity abroad
- Serve as liaison to foreign governments and associations on behalf of MDA and the State of Mississippi
- Provide assistance to local economic development officials
